When you start the app for the first time, you will  be directed immediately to the registration page.

You can access the registration page at any time by selecting “Registration” from the main menu:

You are now on the registration page:

Please enter your complete business address here. Please check if all your entries are correct, and tap on “Register” for confirmation.

Your company will now be registered. You will receive an e-mail as confirmation of the registration.

2. Add additional locations and/or create different areas at the same location (e.g. indoor and outdoor area)2021-04-29T07:38:58+01:00

Select the menu item “Locations” in the “Main menu”.

Here you can quickly and easily add more “locations”. You can use this item e.g. to distinguish between indoor and outdoor areas in your company, but also to enter additional locations of your company at other addresses.

1. Add an area inside your company at the same location:

For a quick change and easy differentiation, please first assign a short name to the area – in this case e.g. outdoor area.

Please enter the name of your company and the name of the area again under “Location name”, in this case for example company x, outdoor area. This way, in case of an incidence, it is ensured that the allocation is complete and comprehensible, and that the same location is meant but divided in 2 separate areas.

For the sake of simplicity, the other address fields are already pre-filled with the data of your business address/registration address, so that you do not have to enter them again.

Also, the data is already saved during your input, you don’t need to confirm these by “register” any more.

Done! Now you can start scanning or adding another area.

2. Add an additional location at another address.

For a quick change and easy differentiation, please first assign a short name for the location, e.g. branch xy.

Please enter the complete data of the 2nd or additional location under “Location name” and the other address fields. In case of an incidence, this ensures that the allocation is complete and comprehensible, and that it is another location at a different address, but the same company.

Also, the data is already saved during your input, you don’t need to confirm these by “register” any more.

Done! Now you can start scanning or adding another location.

3. Guests check-in e.g. scan guest-passes2021-04-29T07:40:40+01:00

Now you are ready for visits of your guests: when they enter your premises, you can quickly and easily register them: Just tap on “Capture SecTrace Pass” and point the scan field / camera at the Sectrace Pass.  Now you only have to tap on “Coming”.

When he leaves your premises again: Just tap again on “Capture SecTrace Pass” and point the scan field / camera at the Sectrace Pass.  Now you just have to tap on “Going”.

Register accompanying persons or e.g. table numbers:

You can enter additional information when scanning. You can enter this additional information individually.  For example, you can enter the number of accompanying persons and in the line below, freely selectable additional information: e.g. the name of the accompanying person, table number or similar.

How can I check if the guest really shows his own pass at check-in?2021-04-29T07:42:11+01:00

When you scan the SecTrace pass, a few selected details of the data are visible for verification. For example, after the scan you will see the initials, the entered zip code and the last 3 digits of the phone number. This data is intentionally not printed on the SecTrace passport.

So you can ask your guest for one of these 3 details to make sure that he uses the right passport.  (The rest of the data is of course encrypted and cannot be read out to ensure privacy).

Also, the SecTrace pass itself shows the name and date of birth of the owner – so that a mix-up can easily be avoided.

After you have downloaded the app and opened it for the first time, you will be asked to register your business. Please enter your official business address in the “Registration” page. To finish and confirm that it is correct, please tap on “Register”.  Your company will now be registered and you will also receive a registration confirmation per Email.

Now you can also quickly and easily add additional “Locations” in the menu item “Locations”.

You can change the required location in 2 areas within the app, depending on your needs:

  1. Directly during the scan: simply tap on the displayed location, this will automatically take you to the “other locations” menu and you can change the required location there.
  2. In the main menu within “Locations” you will find the locations you have entered and can select the required location right on top of the menu – or easily add a new location.

No – the data is encrypted in the QR code, so that this is hindered. When you scan the SecTrace pass, a few selected details of the data are visible for verification. The guest’s data is encrypted in the QR code that he creates for himself. When visiting a restaurant, for example, the QR code is scanned by the host. Now both the guest’s and the host’s encrypted data are encrypted again together and stored in trust for the first time. Only in the case of infection, only the institution responsible for this uses this data. After four weeks, they are irretrievably deleted.

The data entered in the form is used directly to create an encrypted QR code. The data is therefore not stored anywhere except in this QR code (and there only encrypted).
